This fragment serves as an essential tool for investigating CDC42 activation, VEGF signaling, and cytoskeletal regulation in vascular endothelial cells, enabling targeted functional studies.
The full-length FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain-containing protein 5 (FGD5) activates CDC42 by catalyzing GDP-GTP exchange, playing a pivotal role in VEGF-induced signaling pathways. It regulates angiogenesis in vascular endothelial cells by promoting network formation, directional migration, and proliferation, and contributes to actin cytoskeleton organization and cell shape modulation. FGD5 localizes to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, membrane ruffles, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and early endosomes, with observed colocalization with F-actin in ruffles and vascular endothelial cadherin at cell-cell junctions in confluent HUVECs, underscoring its multifaceted involvement in c
